Marilyn Monroe, American actress, model and singer in the 1950s and 1960s is still an icon today. Famous for playing comedic attractive female characters she was one of the most marketable Hollywood stars by 1953, with possibly one of her most famous films being Some Like It Hot (1959). Marilyn, who died young, said, ”They will only care when you’ve gone.” This drawing, based on a black and white photo, reimagines a Young Marilyn in colour.
