Small, portable, fun knitting!
Learn to knit socks from the toe up or cuff down using small circular needles and the magic loop method or double points. Once you've worn hand knit socks, you will never go back! This is the perfect take-a-long project.
Class limit is 5 students. 7yrs to adult. *Children must be old enough to sit comfortably focused and intent on learning for an hour.*
Classes are held in person at our yarn shop.
Materials:
- 400yds of fingering weight yarn (wool/nylon or wool/silk blend preferred)
- 2.5mm 40" circular knitting needles, 2.5mm double points, 2.5mm 8 or 9" circular knitting needles (optional, inquire with teacher)
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
- Scissors
Techniques: Magic loop, Small diameter knitting, Toe up construction, heal gussets/flaps, Turkish Cast on
Basic knitting skills required.
**Health Compliance: Our instructors are fully vaccinated. In order to keep other students safe, we require that all students be fully vaccinated and provide verification of vaccination dates. Start date of your class must be at least 2 weeks after vaccination. N95/KN95 Masks are required throughout the class and hand sanitizer will be provided upon entry. (We will have extra KN95 masks on hand) If you have a fever, cold or flu-like symptoms, are not feeling well, or have been exposed to someone with these symptoms, please notify us and do not attend the session.**
